The University of Cape Town has partnered with The Mastercard Foundation to provide scholarships to academically deserving and economically disadvantaged students from Sub-Saharan Africa. Through the scholarship Scholars may pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies at UCT. Students enrolled in the Program will receive mentoring, leadership development, academic and life skills support. For the  2019 academic year, 5à Scholarship opportunities are available (24 Undergraduate,16 Honours and 10 Masters).

SELECTION CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY:

·    Admission for studies at the University of Cape Town in 2019.

·      Citizenship of and residency in a Sub - Saharan African country.

·      From an economically disadvantaged background.

·      Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to social betterment and giving back to their communities and countries through volunteerism, service learning, social entrepreneurship and more.
