Bourse Cambridge Gates pour les étudiants africains Session 2018/2019

The 2018/2019 Gates Cambridge Scholarship is now open for applications from international students who want to pursue a graduate degree at Cambridge University in the UK. The scholarships are a prestigious, highly competitive full-cost financial aid grants awarded to outstanding applicants from countries the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge. Up to 40 Gates Cambridge Scholarships are US students and up to 55 scholarships are awarded to international students.

A Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge. It also provides additional, discretionary funding.

Core components


  • the University Composition Fee at the appropriate rate*
  • a maintenance allowance for a single student (£14,900 for 12 months at the 2017-18 rate; pro rata for courses shorter than 12 months)
  • one economy single airfare at both the beginning and end of the course
  • inbound visa costs & the cost of the Immigration Health Surcharge

Discretionary components


The Trust also considers applications for several types of additional funding on a discretionary basis:

  • Academic development funding – from £500 to £2,000, dependent on the length of your course, to attend conferences and courses.
  • Family allowance – up to £10,120 for a first child and up to £4,320 for a second child (2016-17 rate). No funding is provided for a partner.
  • Fieldwork – you may apply to keep up to your normal maintenance allowance while on fieldwork as part of your PhD (the Trust does not fund other costs as these should be funded by the University Composition Fee).
  • Hardship funding – for unforeseen difficulties
  • Maternity/Paternity funding – should you require it, you may apply to intermit your studies for up to 6 months and continue to receive your maintenance allowance during this time.
  • Some fourth year funding for PhD Scholars may be provided (Cambridge PhD programmes usually last for three years).


  • A citizen of any country outside the United Kingdom
  • applying to pursue one of the following full-time residential courses of study at the University of  Cambridge:

PhD (three year research-only degree)

MSc or MLitt (two year research-only degree)

One year postgraduate course (e.g. MPhil, LLM, MASt, Diploma, MBA etc.)

Round 1 (US citizens based in the US) – October 11, 2018

Round 2 (citizens of all other eligible countries) – December 6 2018 or January 4, 2019 ( depending on the admission deadline for the course you are apply to)

Oxford Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship

Apply now for the 2019-21 Oxford Pershing Square Graduate Scholarships – Full 2 year scholarship

Every year, the Pershing Square Foundation awards up to five full scholarships to support outstanding students on the 1+1 MBA, covering both the Master's degree and the MBA year. Pershing Square Scholars are exceptional individuals who can demonstrate the potential and commitment to finding scalable and sustainable solutions to world-scale social challenges. The scholarship is if you would like to pursue any of the partnering Master’s degrees and combine it with our MBA. It is also available if you are currently studying one of the Master's partnering programmes and wish to apply to the MBA programme. 

Established in 2014, the Oxford Pershing Square Scholarship provides funding for tuition, college fees and a contribution towards living expenses for both years of studies. You would also benefit from opportunities for mentorship and networking with inspirational individuals and organisations that are part of the Pershing Square Foundation’s community. You become integrated into Saïd Business School’s community as soon as you begin your Master’s degree by attending receptions and meetings with our Dean, faculty and other MBA scholars. You can access and utilise both your department and Oxford Saïd’s resources and networks throughout both years. You will also be invited to a spring ‘trek’ to New York City hosted by the Pershing Square Foundation, where you can participate in meetings and workshops with leading innovators and change makers.

Pershing Square Scholars are also have the opportunity to attend a number of prestigous conferences and events throughout the year, including the Ditchely Conferences and the Skoll World Forum.

Pershing Square Scholarships are awarded to individuals with the following attributes:

  • Intention to focus on addressing world-scale social challenges in your career, either in an existing organisation or through development of a new enterprise
  • Ability to envision how to achieve scalable and sustainable solutions to these challenges
  • Articulated vision on how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will allow you to fulfil your objectives

These attributes should be highlighted in your MBA application, scholarship essay and interview answers.

How to apply

To be considered for the scholarship you must apply to the 1+1 MBA by January 2019, for both the MBA programme and the partnering Master of your choice. In addition to the Master and MBA applications, you must submit an essay of no more than 500 words addressing this question: 'How do you intend to change the world? What does this tell us about you as a person?’ This essay must be uploaed to your MBA portion of your application when you apply.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview with the selection panel.

About the Pershing Square Foundation

The foundation supports exceptional leaders and innovative organisations that tackle social issues and deliver scalable and sustainable impact. It is committed to supporting areas such as economic development, education, healthcare, justice and the arts.

The Pershing Square Foundation’s gift of £4.5m will endow the scholarships in perpetuity. The University of Oxford has provided a further £3m under the Oxford Graduate Scholarship Matched Fund, taking the total funding to £7.5m.

The Oxford Pershing Square Scholarship provides funding for tuition, college fees and at least £14,553 toward living expenses for both years of study.

ECU Higher Degree by Research Scholarship

These scholarships are designed to support postgraduate students of outstanding research promise undertaking a higher degree by research at ECU. The scholarship is offered on the basis of academic merit and research performance. The scholarship includes a stipend of $28,420 per annum to be paid fortnightly via electronic funds transfer. Other benefits include a relocation allowance (where applicable) and Overseas Students Health Cover (where applicable). The duration of the scholarship will vary depending on the duration of the course, up to two years for a Master by research and up to 3 years for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Integrated PhD.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible applicants must have met the minimum requirements below:

  • Have been made an unconditional offer of place in an ECU higher degree by research course*

And at least one of the following:

  • Completed an Australian first class Bachelor Honours Degree (H1)*.
  • Completed a Master’s Degree with the equivalent of at least 6 months full time research and a minimum course weighted average of 70%*.
  • A current research doctoral enrolment with a timely Confirmation of Candidature.
  • Completed your first year of an ECU Integrated PhD (J42) with a minimum course weighted average of 80%*.
  • Produced at least one of the research outputs below as the sole or first author:
    • refereed article in a scholarly journal
    • refereed full written conference publication
    • scholarly research book or book chapter
    • commissioned or peer reviewed creative work, or refereed exhibition of creative artefacts
    • creative or design work that has received respected public/industry reviews in state or national/international media;
    • creative or design work that is the recipient of a grant from authorised philanthropic trusts and/or state and federal arts funding body

Special exemption from the above requirements may be granted by the Associate Dean (Research) of the relevant School where an adequate case has been made by a potential supervisor.

*If you have submitted an application for course entry and have not yet been issued an offer, or you are currently enrolled in a Bachelor Honours Degree, a Master’s Degree or Integrated PhD you can apply for this scholarship and your application will be assessed conditional on achieving the minimum requirements.

You are not eligible to apply for this scholarship if any of the below apply:

  • You have been given entry to the ECU Integrated PhD (J42) and you have not yet completed your first year.
  • You have completed an Australian Research Doctorate Degree or equivalent.
  • You have completed a Master by Research and you are seeking admission to an ECU Master by Research.
  • You are have been in receipt of an Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) scholarship within the last two years.

Appel à candidatures pour l’octroi de bourses de mobilité à l’Université de Carlos III de Madrid (Espagne)

Dans le cadre du programme européen Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (KA 107), les universités Mohammed Premier (UMP) et  Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) mettent en place un programme de bourses de mobilité au profit des enseignants-chercheurs, du personnel administratif et des doctorants des deux universités pour l’année universitaire 2018-2019.

Conditions de l’appel d’offres et durée de la mobilité

  • 2 bourses pour la mobilité des enseignants-chercheurs (5 jours ; 120 Euros/jour).

  • 4 bourses pour la mobilité des étudiants doctorants (3 à 5 mois ; 800 Euros/mois).

N.B. Les bourses pour les enseignants-chercheurs sont destinées à des activités de formation, pas d’enseignement, et excluent la participation à des conférences et/ou à des séminaires.

Critères d’éligibilité

  • Etre un enseignant-chercheur ou étudiant doctorant inscrit à l’UMP.

  • Avoir une bonne maîtrise de l'anglais et/ou de l’espagnol.

Dossier de candidature

Les demandes doivent être complétées en anglais ou en espagnol (pas en français) et comprennent les pièces suivantes :

  • formulaire de candidature (Annexe I) ;

  • CV abrégé;

  • lettre de motivation précisant le bien fondé du stage ;

Bourse d'Etude Doctorale à International Max Planck Research School à Dresde en Allemagne

L'IMPRS-CellDevoSys offre un soutien financier complet pendant la préparation de la thèse, jusqu'à 4 ans. Le soutien financier est accordé via un contrat de travail selon 65% TvöD E13 (tarif allemand pour les employés de la fonction publique).L'assurance maladie, les cotisations de retraite et autres avantages sociaux sont inclus dans le contrat. Le salaire net net pour les doctorants (après impôts et déductions) est de 1 450 euros minimum par mois.

Il n'y a pas de frais de scolarité pour participer au programme de doctorat ni pour être inscrit en tant que doctorant à la Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) .L'inscription officielle au TUD en tant qu'étudiant est facultative; les frais d’inscription semestriels au TUD sont d’environ 260 euros et comprennent le « Semesterticket» , qui vous permet d’utiliser le système de transport public à Dresde et dans les environs.

Jeunes scientifiques talentueux et créatifs, curieux
